INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

“THE ETHICS OF A SCIENTIST: LATVIA, BALTICS, EUROPE”

Call for participants

If you would like to take part in the conference, please fill out the registration form and we will contact you in the soonest delay.

You will also be asked to send us the abstract (1-5 pages) of your report. It will be scientifically reviewed and published.

The main topics to be discussed in the conference:

  • A scientist in a technocratic society and the responsibility of a scientist
  • Western experience in educating the society on morals and values
  • The one or the many - a code of ethics for every school, yard, factory… Is it a proper solution?
  • How does Latvia fit in dealing with the issues of bioethics and ethics of medicine in the scope of Europe?
  • Science, its communication with the society and the media - how ethical are these relationships?

There are conference sections and round-table discussions planned, involving participants form various domains - scientists, philosophers, journalists, politicians and other.
